Testimonials

Jennifer, mother of current patient

“Our son Andrew’s behavior was eroding our family. Nothing worked at school or home. He was put on two different drugs. One made him more hyper and one made him sedated. We were told that he had to keep trying different combinations until one happened to work. We’re thankful we chose to get Andrew a SPECT scan. His treatment is working and our home is joyful again.”

Matt, current patient

“I’d suffered with anxiety and depression for years. Most of my treatments worked for awhile, then stopped or had bad side effects. My doctor recommended that I get scanned and see Dr. Clements. It was a relief to look at my brain and get a treatment plan that worked for more than just a few weeks. My whole outlook on life has been changed.”

Sue and Jerry, parents of patient

“After Kristin had been given a SPECT scan, we were shocked to find out that it did not support the diagnosis of schizophrenia that we had lived with for years. Dr. Clements carefully and concisely explained the results of Kristin’s brain scan, which showed brain trauma. He began a complete new treatment plan and changed her medications to give her help in coping. Kristin’s behavior has immensely improved and we have hope that she will continue to do so.”

Page, mother of a patient

"We could not understand the 180 degree turn our son took his first semester of eight grade. From a well-adjusted, happy, popular “A” student, much loved by teachers, friends and family, he progressively became more anxious, unable to focus on studies and unable to climb out of being behind. He constantly complained of a variety of gastrointestinal problems, and we had over months, every conceivable test run to find the source of the problem. Finally, when his psychiatrist proposed we put "two football players" on either side of him to escort him to school and then proposed an incredible daily psychotherapy program on top of the cocktail of medications he had him on, plus a re-do of psychiatric tests he'd already charged us thousands of dollars for, we said "enough". We got the recommendation for Dr. Todd Clements' clinic from a trusted psychotherapist and immediately went to see him. The brain scans, history, work-up, and interviews were thorough. Dr. Clements immediately clicked with our son and in his treatment presentation, said, "We've got to calm your brain down." Dr. Clements' new prescription and regular check-ins, a mentor-tutor, plus a new start for our son in a more structured school environment made the difference. Our son is back to straight A's and being a happy well-adjusted kid, headed again in the right direction. Oh, and did I mention the importance of having the right doctor. . . We later learned that the trigger for all of this mania, was the change by the first psychiatrist of our son's ADHD medication in the summer before eighth grade that brought on the anxiety and created the gastrointestinal symptoms. Dr. Clements has our recommendation"

"As parents, our greatest desire is to raise responsible children who make good decisions and use their God-given abilities to make a difference in the world. This seemed like an unrealistic goal for our son until we met Dr. Clements. For years, we struggled with an incorrect diagnosis and incorrect medications. We questioned ourselves as parents and at times even believed the lie that our son's behavior was a result of poor parenting skills. We had tried everything, but we were unwilling to believe that this is as good as things can get for our son!! With the help of Dr.Clements and his use of a SPECT scan, we were finally able to see that our son's brain IS overactive in certain areas. Because of the SPECT scan technology and the expertise and compassion of Dr. Clements, our son has made tremendous strides in both his school work and his personal life. My greatest regret is the time we wasted while trying 'one more thing.' Now we have a complete and healthy approach to our son's total well-being, and our family life and his personal life is better than we ever imagined it would be. A positive foundation is in place now as we tackle those teenage years ahead of us."
